Former Sarasota County Judge Preston DeVilbiss, Jr., leads the firm's mediation and arbitration group, joined by partner Steve Herb. We subscribe to and endorse the alternative dispute resolution goal of trying to assist parties as neutrals in resolving disputes in an amicable way, while saving them a substantial portion of the money and time that would be spent in litigating those disputes to conclusion in ordinary court proceedings. Mr. DeVilbiss is on the approved list of mediators for the Florida Division of Land Sales, Condominiums and Mobile Homes and is available to assist with matters within the jurisdiction of the agency. Mr. Herb and Mr. DeVilbiss are also available to act as Trial Resolution Judges in voluntary trial resolution cases, as provided for in Section 44.104(2), Florida Statutes, and as Special Masters.
