Mr. Kracht was born in Warwick, New York, and grew up in Sarasota. He holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of South Florida. After graduation, Mr. Kracht received an officer’s commission in the United States Air Force, and served from 1993 until 2001. Mr. Kracht attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor degree in 2000. While attending law school, he worked as a Judicial Advocate representing the school in student disciplinary matters. Upon his return to Sarasota, Mr. Kracht became an Assistant State Attorney for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit and served in that capacity in 2001 and 2002. He left State Attorney’s Office to enter private practice, focusing his practice on complex business litigation, real estate dispute litigation, construction litigation, probate and estate litigation. Mr. Kracht joined NELSON HESSE, LLP in March of 2006. Mr. Kracht is a member of the Florida Bar, the Oklahoma Bar, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida Bar, and the Sarasota County Bar Association, where he served on the Board of Directors of the Young Lawyer’s Division from 2005 through 2007. Mr. Kracht is an active member of the Military Officers Association (MOA) and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). He is extensively involved in veterans’ rights issues.
