Gary W. Peal

GARY W PEALMr. Peal is a Florida native, born in Ft. Lauderdale in 1958. He graduated with high honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1980. Mr. Peal received his Juris Doctor degree in 1983 from the University of Florida College of Law with honors and earned a Masters Degree in Taxation Law (LL.M.) in 1984 from the same institution. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1984 and is also authorized to practice in the U.S. Tax Court.

Mr. Peal practices primarily in estate and trust planning, corporate and business law, probate and trust administration, elder law and pension planning, with an emphasis on state and federal tax law considerations.

Mr. Peal's estate planning practice encompasses simple wills, living wills and durable powers of attorney, as well as complex estate planning tools such as revocable living trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, generation skipping tax trusts and wills, charitable lead and charitable remainder trusts, family limited partnerships and other lifetime gifting techniques, and other sophisticated estate planning methods.

Mr. Peal's business and corporate practice involves advising clients on the proper choice of business entity and the drafting of appropriate documents, such as general and limited partnerships, profit and not-for-profit corporations, S-corporation documentation, limited liability companies, buy-sell agreements, shareholder agreements, employment and independent contractor agreements, sale or purchase of business documentation and other related instruments. Mr. Peal also advises clients with professional practices and other business owners on the critical matter of asset protection planning.

Mr. Peal's probate and trust administration practice covers the entire range of post-mortem planning, including preparation of estate tax returns, qualified disclaimers, and probate and trust litigation.
